Great Bed design, but plan needs to be more consistent.

Overall, I love your taste and design aesthetic. Clean lines, and no-nonsense design. However, I think it's clear that this plan was one of your early works. There are some inconsistencies:

1. Cover page had the rails higher off the ground than the foot board panel, but on page 1, they appear to be the same height. And after thorough digestion, the plan supports the latter.
2. Page 1 shows stub piece under the headboard panel onto which the rail brackets are fastened. Page 6 shows an entire 2x6 bedrail support.
Other than these minor things, it looks like a pretty simple build, and I look forward to building it in the near future.

Hi! Thanks so much for your support of my small business. I appreciate your feedback and review on the plan.
For clarification, I wanted to address your points. The rails and footboard in the finished project on page 1 are, in fact, the same height. However, because the rails are inset from the posts on the sides, the camera angle makes it appear different at first glance. But they are the same height.
Additionally, there are occassions where I build a project and after building it, I realize that there was a better way to do things (that's one of the many reasons I always build my projects before sharing plans). In this case, in hindsight, the way I originally attached the brackets on the headboard it is not the way I would suggest doing it again. That's why the finished bed shows 'stub' pieces in the photo, but the plan calls for a full 2x6. It's an improvement to the original.
Hope this helps! If you have any questions during the build, please let me know!
Thanks
Shara
