NOTE: This project is made to fit a keyboard up to 38″ long and 16″ deep. If your keyboard is this size or smaller, it should fit fine.

Project shown is made from walnut wood. You can build this project using any wood type you prefer and use either solid wood or plywood.  Plans show plywood as it's a more economical option, but 3/4" solid wood can be substituted for plywood as desired.

The Perfect Wedding Gift

I love Shara’s plans. The plan I purchased is easy to follow and accurate but also allows for some flexibility. I purchased the plan to make my son and his future wife a wedding gift for their keyboard as they are both musicians. I would highly recommend Woodshop Diaries!

Good project with a good outcome

I have built this keyboard stand/desk and enjoyed the project quite a lot. The directions for joining the flip top with L-Brackets did not work out too well for me. I was unable to get/keep that portion square. I think dowels would have been a better way to make the connection. Other than that, the directions were easy to follow and included drawings that were very helpful.
